Kingsman Field Dog Park first opened in 2010 through close collaboration between Hill Hounds (our predecessor organization) and the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR).
After the park opened, Hill Hounds organized community clean-ups, fundraisers, and other pawsome activities to support the park’s maintenance and upkeep. Since then, however, many of the original organizers moved away or no longer frequent the park.
With the guidance of a few original organizers, a new group of neighbors and park pals is coming together to improve the park and are happy to report that we are now an official 501(c)(3) non-profit organization!
We live around the block, literally! Many of our organizers and supporters live within a few blocks of the park, and we love meeting new park pals from all across the area. We hope to see you at the park and around the neighborhood!
Like others who were privileged to work from home during the pandemic, our founding organizers recently welcomed puppies into their homes. Visiting the dog park was oftentimes the only safe way to meet new people. We connected with long-time neighbors, learned from experienced dog owners, and commiserated with new ones. We have grown to love this small patch of land, and now we look forward to improving it for our furry friends.

We believe that every human, kiddo, and doggo needs space to run and roam.
Help make Kingsman Field Dog Park the best it can be so that every neighbor has access to quality outdoor spaces.
